Overview
Social sector leaders span the business, nonprofit, and government
worlds. They have diverse passions, goals, roles, and responsibilities.
They may be executives, managers, entrepreneurs, board members,
philanthropists, or volunteers. Some have spent most of their careers
in one sector; others have moved between business, nonprofit, and
government jobs. Yet they are united by a common purpose: the pursuit
of greater effectiveness and social impact in their social sector
endeavors.
CASE aims to serve social sector leaders interested in the thoughtful
application of business expertise for the improvement of social
conditions. We are committed to exploring the adaptation of business
concepts, tools and skills to the social sector in appropriate,
practical and effective ways. This website is one forum for this
exploration, and we regularly share our perspective and those of
others through our publications,
newsletter, and ideas.
If you find yourself intrigued by this topic, then we encourage
you to Join CASE
and subscribe to our newsletter.
In addition to being a thought leader on the use of business-inspired
approaches for social good, CASE seeks to promote concrete resources
and opportunities
for social ventures looking to engage with MBAs and tap into business
expertise; for business leaders interested in bringing their business
skills to the social sector; and for aspiring social entrepreneurs
seeking to connect with like-minded individuals.
