Opportunities
CASE
seeks to promote practice that draws on the best thinking from both
the business and nonprofit worlds. Success in this area requires that
business and social sector leaders work together to develop, sustain,
and grow innovative, effective social ventures. Here we highlight
opportunities for social-purpose organizations to engage with our
students and alumni as well as opportunities for business leaders
to utilize their business skills and expertise for social impact.
Social Ventures: Engaging
Fuqua MBAs
CASE encourages social-purpose organizations to
engage with our students and alumni, providing you with access to
MBA talent and them with valuable social sector experience. Fuqua
supports a variety of programs to facilitate this interaction.
• Independent Studies: MBA students seeking
practical social entrepreneurship experience can design an independent
study. Working under faculty supervision, they may pursue a specific
area of interest or complete a strategic project for an organization.
While most independent studies are initiated by faculty or students,
social-purpose organizations can also post opportunities. For more
information, please contact CASE.
• Summer Internship Program: MBA students
often seek a way to make the summer between their first and second
years meaningful — a chance to apply business skills and gain
valuable business experience and training in the social sector.
CASE assists both students and social ventures in identifying opportunities
for summer internships. If interested in hiring a Fuqua MBA intern,
please contact CASE.
• Loan
Forgiveness Fund: To help reduce the financial barriers
to pursuing careers in the social sector, Fuqua provides financial
assistance to qualified alumni who work full-time with nonprofit
or government organizations. CASE also disseminates job opportunities
to interested students and alumni through regular career updates.
To post a job or learn more about hiring Fuqua MBAs, please contact
CASE.
For social ventures who do not have experience hiring or working
closely with MBAs, we have prepared A
Guide for Social Sector Employers Seeking to Hire MBAs. Is your
organization ready to hire someone with business experience? Read

written report.
