CASE staff work to recruit students and potential partners (“clients”) in the Summer and Fall
Projects proposed are specific to the client organizations’ (NGOs, companies serving bottom of the pyramid markets) needs, and a priority for them (not just an interest)
Students review potential clients and projects (information disseminated at Global Opportunities Fair and GCP information sessions) and apply for the course in early Fall term 1
CASE staff reviews student applications, assigns projects (taking in to account student preferences where possible) and creates student teams (typically, 4 – 6 students per team)
Beginning in late Fall term 2 (November/December), student teams begin to meet to scope their projects and communicate with clients
Throughout Spring terms 1 and 2 (January - April), GCP classroom sessions meet and students actively work with their teams on the consulting project
Students travel to client site over Spring Break (March) to work intensively with clients in the field
Clear, robust, and practical recommendations and implementation plans delivered by end of Spring Term 2
