Careers
Social sector careers span the for-profit and nonprofit sectors,
occur across a range of fields from education to health care to
the environment, and take our students and alumni to places near
and far. Recent graduates have gone to work for organizations such
as The Bridgespan Group, The Rockefeller Foundation, Triangle Residential
Options for Substance Abusers (TROSA), Isoph, MBA Enterprise Corps
(Bulgaria), Corporation for Economic Development, City Year, and
Population Services International (India). The opportunities are
diverse, as are the individuals who pursue them. But they are all
united by a passion for using their business skills to achieve social
impact.
CASE works closely with Fuqua’s Career Management Center
and the Social Impact Club to support students and alumni interested
in pursuing social sector internships and careers. Together, CASE,
the CMC, and SIC host a Social Sector SIP each fall, sponsor social
enterprise career panels and networking opportunities, provide industry
information, develop relationships with social sector organizations,
promote job postings, and advise students on their job search and
career decisions. These activities, in conjunction with numerous
career resources, financial aid programs, and job listings, help
provide MBAs with the tools and opportunities to pursue their social
sector passions at the appropriate time in their personal lives
and careers.
Fuqua Resources

CASE and the Social Impact Club should be of interest and value

CASE Social Sector Career Guides
These short guides are available for download by MBA students,
alumni, or professionals with business experience who are interested
in gaining a better understanding of and exploring opportunities
for involvement in the social sector, including volunteering as
well as the pursuit of employment. Additionally, there is a guide
for social sector employers seeking to hire MBAs that should be
helpful both to potential employers and to job-seekers as they interact
with prospective employers.
